DSAI project description LINK.

experience/ Maya played a critical role in coordination of the competition book, posters and presentation. Early responsibilities included conceptual diagraming and schematic, colour-coded representation for program, structural, mechanical and restoration works. These drawings exposed the box-in-a-box quiet and noisy structures and enclosures of the building and hall drawing attention to the rooms and services that lived in the gaps in between.

After winning the competition, Maya was one of 5 Diamond Schmitt team members who was selected to relocate to collaborative project office in New York City to

represent the office and continue her role in coordination through more detailed design phases. When concerns about construction schedule duration and conflicts of interest, arose, Maya became one of the key team members tasked with reimagining the concert hall under these more challenging conditions. Maya participated in coordinating with client, structural, mechanical, acoustic and theatre design consultants to provide a new design and phasing plan. With direction from DSAI principals, she organized the sign-off package for the feasibility study and the feasibility study renderings and client presentation.
