concept/ How can we re-think our understanding of time in a way that dreams an alternate future? How can we re-write our schedules to be about accidental encounters and sharing? These images explored one possible future, where time is counted based on material lifecycles and new networks of sharing. In this case, seeing time differently through community shared clothing. Hypothetical access to the racks from inside and outside the co-home, contests current fast fashion (and its piles of waste) without eliminating our experience of adding items that are new (to us) to our collection, strange surprises, accidental encounters and playing dress-up. Thanks to Car Martin for letting me guest lecture / lead a conversation on Time in her George Brown College School of Design on Prototyping as her students prepare assignments on Time and on Dreams.
